Privacy & Cookies
How BETTIMES uses limited analytics, records your privacy choice and keeps advertising storage switched off.
What we measure
BETTIMES uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate readership patterns, such as which pages are visited, how readers arrive and how they move through the publication. Depending on the browser and consent state, measurement may include page title and URL, referrer, general device and browser information, approximate location derived from the network, and engagement events.
Consent and storage
Analytics storage is denied by default. If you select Allow analytics, the Google tag may use analytics cookies or similar browser storage for measurement. If you select Essential only, analytics storage remains denied and Google may receive limited, cookieless consent-state and measurement signals through Consent Mode.
Your choice is saved in local browser storage on that device. You can review or change it at any time by selecting Privacy choices in the site footer.
Advertising
BETTIMES keeps advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation denied. The current implementation is intended for publication analytics, not remarketing or personalised advertising.
Third-party processing
Google processes analytics signals on our behalf under its own terms and privacy controls. Analytics data is retained according to the period configured in the BETTIMES Analytics property and is reviewed as the publication's measurement needs evolve.
